Standard Cancellation and Refund Schedule

More than 72 Hours Before Charter

100% Refund

Eligible for: Complete refund minus processing charges

Processing Time: 5-7 business days

Processing Fee: $50 for credit card transactions

Conditions: Must be requested via written correspondence through email or phone call

24-72 Hours Before Charter

50% Refund

Eligible for: Half of the total cost of the charter

Processing Time: 7-10 working days

Processing Fee: $25 subtracted from the refund amount

Conditions: A credible reason needs to be provided; additional administrative costs incurred

Less than 24 Hours Before Charter

No Refund

Eligible for: No reimbursement will be provided

Exception: Consideration may be given in the case of urgent circumstances

Alternative: A credit for charter services may be issued at the discretion of the management

Conditions: Emergency cases require supporting documentation for claims

Weather-Related Cancellations

Our Weather Guarantee

Our chief concern is safety. Should our certified captain determine that weather conditions are unsafe for charter operations, we provide several malleable options:

  • Full Refund: Issued if rebooking isn't feasible
  • Reschedule: Change the charter to a future available date at no extra charge
  • Charter Credit: Receive a voucher valid for one year from the original booking

Weather Assessment Process

The evaluation of weather conditions includes:

  • Analysis of wind speed and direction
  • Consideration of wave height and sea conditions
  • Forecast of visibility and rainfall
  • Notices and alerts from the Coast Guard
  • Safety inspection by a professional captain

Decision Timeline: Decisions on weather-induced cancellations are made no more than 4 hours before the planned departure.

Medical Emergency Refunds

Emergency Circumstances

We comprehend that medical urgencies can arise. The following scenarios may warrant special consideration:

  • Sudden sickness or accidental harm necessitating hospital care
  • A death within the immediate family
  • Urgent military deployment or recall
  • Legal obligations such as jury duty or subpoenas
  • Natural disasters impacting travel

Documentation Requirements

For processing emergency reimbursement appeals, please provide:

  • Medical certification or documentation from the hospital
  • Death certificate (where applicable)
  • Military orders
  • Legal summons or jury duty orders
  • Official travel advisories or disaster declarations

Processing: Emergency refunds are handled in a span of 3-5 business days following the submission of the required documentation.

Operational Cancellations

Mechanical Problems

In the event your yacht encounters an irreparable technical issue:

  • Substitute Vessel: We will endeavor to provide a similar substitute
  • Complete Refund: Offered when no appropriate alternative is found
  • Partial Refund: In case the alternative yacht comes with a differing price tag
  • Compensation: We may offer further recompense for any inconvenience

Crew Unavailability

In the unlikely event that the certified crew can't be present:

  • Replacement crew members will be sought if feasible
  • A full refund if the trip can’t go ahead
  • The option to reschedule with no added cost

Refund Processing

Payment Method

Reimbursements are issued via the same method used for the initial booking:

  • Credit Cards: Takes 5-7 business days
  • Bank Transfers: Takes 7-10 business days
  • Cash or Check: Takes 3-5 business days

Processing Fees

Credit Card Transactions

$50 charge for cancellations requested more than three days before

Reimbursements via Bank Transfer

$25 charge for all reimbursements made by bank transfer

International Transactions

Extra charges might be incurred for transactions crossing national borders

Charter Credits

Circumstances for Credit Issuance

In certain scenarios, credits towards yacht charters may be issued as an alternative to reimbursements:

  • With cancellations that occur less than 24 hours prior
  • Cancellations because of weather
  • Requests for rescheduling at the guest's behest
  • Delays or changes in operations

Terms for Credits

  • Validity Period: 12 months from the issuance
  • Transferability: Cannot be transferred to others
  • Value: Equal to the full price of the charter without fees
  • Application: Applicable to any open charter slot
  • Expiration: Not extendable past 12 months

Pro-rata Service Reimbursements

Interruptions in Service

Should your yacht hire be disrupted or cut short due to matters within our purview:

  • Refund proportionate to the unused duration
  • Credit for an equivalent charter at a future time
  • Complementary services or grade-ups offered

Disruptions Caused by Guests

If an outing is prematurely ended because of the behavior or infringement of safety rules by the guests:

  • No return of funds for the remaining time
  • Complete payment is still demanded
  • Potential for additional surcharges

Settling Disputes Over Refunds

If you take issue with a reimbursement assessment, you may:

  • Request a reassessment by our management
  • Share any further documentation or proof
  • Seek mediation from consumer rights groups
  • Pursue legal action in line with the governing laws

Our staff will acknowledge your plea within a day, evaluate it in line with this policy, deliver a verdict within two days, and proceed with approved reimbursements inside the designated durations.

  • All plea for reimbursements have to be in written form
  • Reimbursements are conducted in $ irrespective of the original currency used
  • Purchasing travel insurance is highly advised
  • Alterations to this policy are made with an advance notice of 30 days
  • Reimbursements are subject to relevant taxes and statutory regulations
